‘The Expanse’ is saved as Jeff Bezos says Amazon will pick up sci-fi TV saga, and the crowd goes wild

Amazon entered into talks with Alcon as the model Roci readied for its journey to the stars in #SaveTheExpanse's second appearance in Newsweek featuring comments from Murilo Silva, the organiser of the GoFundMe, who said "We're really a bunch of lunatics! By this time next week we should have our Roci from Space footage!"
The #SaveTheExpanse campaign launched a Gofundme campaign to send model Roci to space. Funding of $4000 was achieved in just three hours with 248 backers. SentIntoSpace offered the campaign a discount as they were fans of the show.
Friends of Comic Con reports on the Expanse panel at the ISDC, an event which would go on to be a very important moment for the show.
Celebrities joined the #SaveTheExpanse movement, including Will Wheaton, Game of Thrones author George RR Martin, Patton Oswalt, and the astronaut Andreas Mogensen as the petition reached 107,000 signatures.
